Auditing your horsepower via performance metrics is a streamlined process. Follow these steps to generate your engine profile:
- Step 1: Input Total Vehicle Weight
For a high-fidelity audit, ensure you are using the weight as it was during the run, including all passengers and gear.
- Step 2: Enter Performance Result
Provide either your **Trap Speed (MPH)** or your **Elapsed Time (ET)**. We recommend Trap Speed for the most consistent power modeling.
- Step 3: Analyze Power Output
Click "Calculate Horsepower". Our engine will reveal both your estimated Crank HP and the probable Wheel HP (WHP) after drivetrain loss.
Managing Drivetrain Parasitics
Our calculator applies a standard 15% deduction to represent the power lost across a standard RWD drivetrain. If you are running a heavy AWD system or an old-style torque-converter automatic, your real-world WHP may be slightly lower than the audit suggests.
