The Volume-To-Break-Even Metric
Our calculator provides the "Volume Offset" required. If you discount an item by 30% and your calculator says you need a 2.5x volume increase, ask yourself: Is the promotion attractive enough to quintuple my sales? If not, the markdown is a net loss for the business.
